Types of container terminals

Container terminals are classified as:

• ✓ by type of vehicle, for example, railway - road;
• ✓ depending on the type of cargo: for specialized or general cargo;
• ✓ on the type of cargo flows: intended for internal transportation and for those that pass through the customs post.

In addition, the following types of container terminals are distinguished:

• ✓ cargo, which performs the function of documenting cargo transportation;
• ✓ cargo sorting – perform all the functions of cargo points, and also carry out sorting of transit containers, i.e. provision of warehousing services, as well as reloading from one container to another vehicle;
