Main features of container transportation
Malcom McLean developed a new type of transportation in the 2nd half of the past century- container.
All containers are different by load capacity and these are the main types:
- ✓ 3 ton – for maximum a 2400 kg load
- ✓ 5 ton – for maximum a 4000 kg load
- ✓ 20 foot – for maximum a 21,9 ton load
- ✓ 40 foot – for maximum 30 ton load
Container transportation has its advantages:
- ✓ It is universal
- ✓ It is safe and secure
- ✓ Doesn’t require additional area
- ✓ Doesn’t require physical strength
- ✓ Saves time and money
- ✓ It has a flexible system of transportation
