Freight transport on the Crimean bridge will resume no later than December

Truck traffic on the Krymsky Bridge will not resume until December 1, 2022, as a result of the explosion on October 8, this year. Even though car drivers can now drive, truck drivers must take one of the alternative routes. There are currently the following detours available:

  • ✓ Land highway;
  • ✓ crossing the Kerch Strait;
  • ✓ reloading on rail transport.

A list of priority cargoes accepted for transportation was established by a joint decision of the Russian Federation's Ministry of Transport and the Administration of the Krymsky District. These include:

  • ✓ Cargoes of military value;
  • ✓ Perishable products;
  • ✓ Pharmaceutical products;
  • ✓ Food/non - food socially significant products.

Cargoes not listed here can be transported by road from the Rostov region (Taganrog, Novoazovsk, Mariupol) to Dzhankoy (Crimea). The road runs for 387 kilometers (about 7 hours).

The new measures will be in effect until the transportation links between Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory are restored.
